Good Afternoon,
The Department for Medicaid Services (DMS) is sharing more resources with all 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver stakeholders regarding electronic visit verification (EVV).
EVV is an electronic system used to verify a participant received the services they are supposed to per their person-centered service plan. Providers of certain waiver services will be required to use EVV beginning January 1, 2021. DMS has created an EVV website where stakeholders can learn more about this upcoming shift.
Here are some additional resources now available for 1915(c) HCBS waiver stakeholders regarding EVV:
· EVV Webinar for Waiver Participants - Recording: Watch the webinar held for waiver participants and their families/caregivers on July 10, 2020.
· EVV Webinar for Waiver Participants – Presentation: View the presentation from the July 10, 2020, webinar for waiver participants and their families/caregivers.
· What Does This Mean to Me? EVV: A one-page document designed to help waiver participants, their families/caregivers better understand EVV.
DMS is planning additional EVV meetings for waiver stakeholders this month.
- July 15, 2020: EVV Town Hall #1 – Introduction to EVV
This meeting is open to all stakeholders and will include the basics on EVV.
- July 27, 2020: EVV Waiver Participant Meeting
This meeting is geared toward waiver participants and their families/caregivers to help them better understand EVV and ask questions.
If you have questions about EVV, these resources, or the upcoming meetings, you can email DMS or call (844) 784-5614. If you provide a service affected by EVV or wish to receive EVV updates via email, please subscribe to our EVV email list.
