Tellus EVV Training
Beginning November 17, 2020, providers of certain services offered through Kentucky’s 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waivers can begin using electronic visit verification (EVV). As an impacted provider agency or financial management agency (FMA), the Kentucky Department for Medicaid Services and Tellus want to help you prepare for training. Tellus offers three types of training:
- Live, instructor-led webinars
- On-demand video modules
- Downloadable user guides
Each of these training options includes detailed information on the Tellus EVV system’s core functionalities. Kentucky-specific aspects of the system, such as policy and business rules, will not be covered. The live, instructor-led webinars begin October 6, 2020. To sign-up for training sessions or view previously recorded training sessions, visit 4tellus.com/training. Provider agencies and FMAs will receive access to the on-demand video modules and user guides when they register with Tellus. Registration opens October 30, 2020.
Training should be completed before the EVV soft go-live date of November 17, 2020. Details on training are attached to this letter. Training will remain available throughout the life of the program.
Tellus will host a series of user training sessions. The Tellus EVV+ mobile app, administrative portal and claims portal training modules will cover the Tellus EVV system's core functionalities. The EVV supplemental training will focus on PDS employee use of the app. Training dates by topic are listed below. Attendees only need to attend one session date per topic. The training will be recorded and available for viewing on-demand as well.
- Tellus EVV+ Mobile App
- Audience: DSPs and PDS employees from provider agencies and FMAs using Tellus EVV
- Module Dates: Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Nov. 10, 17 and 24
- Tellus EVV Supplemental Training for PDS employees
- Audience: PDS employees from FMAs using Tellus EVV
- Module Dates: Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Nov. 10, 17 and 24
- Tellus EVV Administrative Portal
- Audience: EVV administrator(s) at provider agencies and FMAs using Tellus EVV
- Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28 and Nov. 4, 18, 25
- Tellus EVV Claims Portal
- Audience: EVV administrator(s) at all provider agencies and FMAs
- Oct. 8, 15, 22, 29 and Nov. 5, 12, 19
